HOSS

Sweet Pit Bull Needs Good Home

This is Hoss.
Someone dumped him at our farm.  We are currently fostering him until that right person finds him.  He’s been here a while now, so we’ve gotten to know him pretty well.  We have done our due diligence and tried to find out if he was lost, but all our efforts came to naught.  He has no chip.  No one responded to our lost dog posts.

First, he’s as sweet as sugar.  He loves people, he seems to have never met a stranger.  Typical Pit Bull, am I right?  He has a skosh of Rhodesian Ridgeback in him; that little tuft of backwards fur on his back.  His fur is a deep chocolate brown, a rich espresso.  He’s handsome as all get out, with a huge head and soulful eyes.  He’s pure muscle too.  Loves to run, loves to play.  A young fella, we guess him to be one or two.

He gets along real well with other dogs, even backing down to little buggers biting his feet.  Big dogs, small dogs, he loves them all.
But…
He doesn’t do well with cats.  Or chickens.  As far as we can tell, that’s his only fault.

He’s good inside, so we feel pretty confident that he had an inside home at one point.  And in all the time we have been fostering him, he has never let out a bark.  Not one.  He needs to learn some manners, but he’s very smart.  He learned ‘sit’ in three tries, learned not to pull on a leash after one walk, unless there are other dogs along on the walk.  As said, he loves other dogs.  He learned ‘stay’ very quickly.

We have given him his vaccinations, wormed him, and have him on schedule to be neutered soon.

We can't keep him because of the cat and chicken issues.  We also have four dogs at present.

We know you’re out there, lovely person/people who can give Hoss the home he deserves.  You will be blessed indeed to share your life with Hoss.  He would love a home where he can get a lot of physical activity.  He’s strong and agile, a good runner or hiking dog.
