Adoption appointments are scheduled online and all appointments are held at the New Life Asher House Adoption Center in Portland OR.
Please view our Adoptable Dogs before requesting an adoption appointment.

We are open for donation drop off:
Saturday: 10am to 4pm
Sunday: 10am to 4pm

Here is a list of donations items that are always in demand:

  • Kirkland/Costco brand Salmon & Sweet Potato dog food

  • Advantage or Frontline Flea Treatment

  • New Dog Toys

  • Dog Treats

  • Greenies, bones, chewies

  • Pill Pockets (treats for giving medication)

  • New Leashes and Collars

  • Ecos dish soap (or similar biodegradable dish soap )

  • Bleach

  • 1-gallon ziplock storage bags

  • Trash bags- kitchen size and 33 gallon

  • Printer Ink (HP625)

  • Printer paper

  • Gift Cards: Home Depot, Fred Meyer, Petsmart, Petco, Lowes, Wilco, Coastal

Items we cannot accept: dog crates, overly used dog toys, pillows, beds, dog food other than Kirkland Salmon & Sweet Potato.

Our Adoption Fees:
Our adoption fees vary and are listed at the end of each dog’s profile.
All of our adoptions include the following:
•Microchip ID & Registration
•Spay/Neuter
•Leash and Collar
•Toy & Treat Packet
•Food Sample

We are here to provide support to our adopters and their adoptee for the life of the pet and are always here to help in whatever way we can.

All dogs rescued by New Life Asher House and The Asher House are kept in our care for at least one week before becoming available for adoption so that we may monitor their behavior and health. Newly available dogs are posted on our Adoptable Dogs page weekly. Dogs who have been adopted are moved to the Happy Endings page at the end of each adoption day.
