Teeka

6 years old
90 lbs
Husky

Her behavior - Happy, social, active, smart, easy to train, good communicator, not vocal, friendly with all people, loves all dogs, sweet to cats, does have resource guarding issues that we have been working with her on

Her favorite actives - walking, dog parks, hiking, running, skijoring, boating, trips in the car, anything as long as she is with you

Health - needs grain free food (common for huskies), broken hip at 2 years old (it bothers her sometime but doesn’t stop her from being active), up to date on vaccines

What she needs in a home - walks or plenty of outdoor space, someone at home with her (cat or dog) or not being left alone for long, no small children because she communicates with her mouth and paws which could hurt small children, no chickens unless they are very well protected

We have fostered her on and off for 1 year so we have gotten to know her and train her. Unfortunately, our dog doesn't like having another dog in the home so we can not keep Teeka.

Feel free to give me a call or text at 503-367-2718

Sarsaparilla

Sarsaparilla (or Sassy, for short!) is a 65 pound spayed female, about 2 years old, who loves running, cuddling, and training. She’s delightfully food motivated and always excited for what’s next.

She’s lived with me (Kenny) and my other dog (Ladybird) ever since she came from MCAS as a stray rescue in January. Unfortunately, she is just too stressed about having to share her home with another dog. Despite mostly getting along fine, she has always been more anxious when the other dog is around and has bitten her.

She’s done well with apartment life! She loves long walks, whether on sidewalks or in the woods. She is more than happy to have a great time running around a field by herself, and is one of the most excited swimmers I’ve ever seen.
The DNA test says she’s an American Bully / Belgian Malinois mix! She acts like it, too – she’s always ready to hop on the couch and lay on me, chase the first squirrel she sees, and is quick to switch into training mode. She’s crate trained and house trained, sleeping in her crate without a problem and she trained herself to eat her meals in there!

We’re still working on her manners. She’s got some reactivity when it comes to strangers, mostly jumping up when people come over and pulling on the leash when she gets surprised by a runner. With care and attention, though, I know she has incredible potential! She needs a home that can give her a safe place to rest and relax, and a human to care for her that can help her to learn she’s got nothing to worry about.

Guiness

Guiness (Like the beer but not spelled the same)
Born May 15 2022
Pitbull Terrier
Tricolor Black/Tan/Cream.

Owner: Chad Gunter
Phone 725-232-5219 prefer text first:

Meet Guiness! He is 1 & 1/2 years old and he is the super sweetest boy ever. He is great with children and other dogs, never tested with cats.

He is:

  • Current on all vacs

  • crate trained

  • leash trained

  • house trained

Guess is a very good cuddle buddy he loves to be both outside and inside. He likes walks, but also could just as easily nap next to you for several hours and watch TV. He has been raised 5 year old since he was 3 and is very gentle and handles even the most irritating situations like a pro. He has spent most of his life around a Great Dane, so he is not food aggressive, but he is bone/treat aggressive if he thinks he has something special. Guiness loves things to chew on, so if you don't give him something, he might chew on something you don't want him to.

Please help me give him a new family. He deserves it.

MOLLY

Hello,

Molly is a seven-year-old pit/lab mix. She is sweet, affectionate, smart, well-trained, and loves people. Her favorite things are cuddles, toys, and pup cups. She is very loved by her previous owners, me and my partner. However, Molly is sadly not able to live in our apartment anymore. Due to stress in the household, Molly became anxious and tore up the carpet and the landlord kicked her out. Molly does not do well with other animals and unfortunately, our roommates had other animals. Because of these issues and barriers, it makes it nearly impossible for us to keep her or rehome her. Every person we’ve reached out to isn’t able to take Molly on because of Molly’s aggression toward household pets, which most have. The trigger of her stress is mostly around food and water which she resource guards. With the right environment, Molly can be very successful. She is never aggressive toward people including children, making her a great family dog.

We are very desperate to find Molly a place to stay whether that’s at a shelter, foster home, or a forever home. We have exhausted all options and don’t know what to do. Please consider taking our sweet girl who just wants a loving family she can call home. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Reach out by email or phone. My number is 971-940-9440.

We appreciate you,

Emmeline

Murphy

Murphy is the sweetest boy. He is 5yrs old, house and kennel trained. He has a history of dog aggression but did a behavior mod with Harmony Canine in Canby which is  guaranteed for life (he can be brought back for unlimited refreshers for just the cost of boarding).
He would do best in a home with no other pets or possibly with one other large female dog who is very social. He wants to play these days but can be a bit much for some dogs.
He is off leash trained, amazing recall, knows tons of tricks and loves to show them off!
He will come with his custom (trust your dog brand) muzzle, his e-collar, and kennel.
I can be reached at 509-432-5400

CLEO

Meet Cleo,

A sweetheart to her core, that is looking for her forever home.

My partner and I rescued Cleo at just 7 weeks old.

A bit too early to wean, but the people who had her and her litter mates said their mom stopped feeding them & were just giving the pups away in a parking lot down, in Sweet Home, Oregon - so we decided to make sure she went to a good home & brought her back to Portland with us to raise & take care of.

This was during the fires that happened a few years back & we could tell she was relieved to just have a place to rest in our car, where she felt safe.

We would love nothing more than to keep Cleo with us, but unfortunately due to a change in housing that isn't very stable for her, we have decided to make the very difficult decision to try and find her somewhere that she can be loved and feel safe once again.

Cleo loves to play fetch, go for walks, play with other dogs, cuddle like nobodies business & is certified as an Emotional Support Animal(E.S.A).

She loves other dogs & cats, although she tends to be a little uneasy at first around large dogs, she warms up to them quickly.

Cleo weighs 55lbs, is always bathed regularly, up to date on all of her shots & checkups, she is currently unaltered, but has never had a litter & has only not been spayed yet because we wanted to wait for her to fully grow up before we put her through any kind of surgery.

Cleo is loved so much & truly deserves the best in life.

If you would like to know anything else about Cleo at all, please feel free to reach out to us at (503)765-4047

Thank you so much for taking the time to read a little about Cleo's journey so far.

Sincerely,

-Molly

INDY

Need to rehome my Dad's dog...

Here's the story, it's a bit of a read but this way you have the entire story.

I recently moved my Dad into Assisted Living and he brought his dog along. Her name is Indy and is a chihuahua that was adopted from the Oregon Humane Society. Prior to the move, Indy had glaucoma in eye followed by the other. Because of this, she is completely blind. The Assisted living facility asked to remove Indy from the community because of her barking and charging at residents who walked by my Dad when he was walking in the halls with her.

I now have Indy at my house and it's not a good fit for her. Her typical day was a couple of walks outside with my Dad while he smoked and holding down the dog bed or sitting with my Dad. Since she has been with me, she has lived with two other dogs and has had a structured environment in regards to correcting bad behaviors and socializing her. I think that was her biggest negative. The time she spent with my Dad was often just with him with very little to no interaction outside of myself and the caregiver.

I have attempted to contact at least 4 different animal/dog rescues with no luck. I want to do right by Indy, and find her a good place to live. Our house is much too busy for her and she often spends her time on the dog bed looking down.
She would come with a crate, leash, harness and dog food. I can be reached at jason.keezel@gmail.com or by phone at 503-347-6160.

Danner

Meet Danner

Danner is a 3 year old, 65lb, male husky/malamute. He is fixed and up-to-date on shots.

Danner is looking for a unicorn home. He would thrive with a single person (or possibly an established couple) that understands a dog who has issues with resource guarding and fear-based aggression. He enjoys a quiet, calm home where he can relax and cuddle near his human while also being able to join them on adventures such as hiking, snowshoeing/xcountry skiing, camping, beach trips, and being paddled around in a kayak.

Danner is house and crate trained and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, down, wait, leave it, come, and high five. Sometimes his husky selective hearing shows up so he does well with regular practice with these commands. He pulls on a leash when trying to get to a smell or another creature, but has been showing progress through training on that.

Danner would do best as an only dog/pet, however he has cohabitated with other dogs before - it just requires extra attention around feeding and toys. He also likes to play rough and is a big boy so he can be intimidating to other dogs/people. He has done fine with sharing a fence line with chickens and goats but has killed 2 chickens that decided to explore his side of the yard. Knowing his breed I have kept him away from cats and am assuming cats within his reach would have the same fate as the chickens.

I am rehoming Danner because my home environment has changed and he has not adjusted well to it. He has shown aggression and bit my new partner and has been reactive towards my partner's dog. Due to that bite experience, I am being selective with his new owner and home. Danner has so much to offer and has been the best companion, but he's not happy with the addition to our pack.

ARYA

Big beagle or Scooby-Doo?! This is our sweet Arya who desperately needs a foster (or adopter, of course) to spend Thanksgiving and this holiday season out of boarding Arya is a beautiful 6-7 year young Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who is super affectionate, sweet, smart, and funny. She is 68lbs of pure love. She lives for pets, belly rubs, walks, and treats

She takes a little bit to warm up to a new person but once she feels comfortable, she will shower you with all the love and kisses. Arya will follow you around everywhere but doesn’t have separation anxiety. She’s house-trained and knows several good commands. She is an LA county kill shelter survivor rescued in Dec 2022. She was loved in a foster home for 10 months but now this poor girl is scared and devastated in boarding

Notes on Arya:

- Walks great on leash (loves going on walks)

- Easy to train. Picks up new tricks/toys quickly

- House trained. She can be left alone without being crated

- Loves to spend time with her human. No separation anxiety

- Very good in the car

- Very good with brushing teeth, cleaning ears, shower

- Loves belly rubs, pets, squeaky toys, tennis balls

- Best for an adults-only home (needs time to warm up)

- Ideally no other dogs but another large calm dog may be okay with a slow and proper introduction

- Takes a daily anti-inflammatory for her minor arthritis but has no problem going on walks and living a happy life! :)

Next month marks 1 year from Arya’s freedom day from shelter (12.23.2022) and Arya wishes to be truly free, out of boarding - loved and adored in a foster home or forever home

Apply to foster or adopt Arya on pacificpupsrescue.com. For questions, email info@pacificpupsrescue.com and foster2foreverhome@gmail.com.

See @pacificpupsrescue and @foster2foreverhome on Instagram for more videos and pictures of Arya.

LUNA

Contact info: Francisco @ 503-875-1024. Or Gavina 503-798-6489. Luna is a beautiful 5 yrs old, female/spayed, 60 lb. Husky/Shepherd mix. She has been around other dogs, not cats. Best with older kids or adults, not small children. Potty trained. Listens well. Up to date on shots. Thank you so very much, Ms Paula

JAX

Needing to rehome our Dalmatian, Jax. He is four years old, up to date on shots, neutered and is deaf in his left ear, but still hears really well. He does well with basic commands; sit, stay, shake. Has no accidents in the house and we broke his habit of chewing on things that aren’t his toys.

He is skittish of new people at first, but warms up to them fairly quickly. Hit or miss with other animals, sometimes he has no problem with them and other times he’s aggressive.

He’s a barker. Any loud noise or a noise that he can’t see the source of.

Loves bones, balls and treats. Absolutely loves to snuggle. Full of energy, he needs to run daily.

He has had kidney and bladder stones, he need surgery to remove them. He should eat the U/D urinary care food, prescribed by a vet.

Needing to rehome because he has developed a dog aggression over the years and is now showing aggression toward our children. We unfortunately do not have the resources to correct this behavioral issue and no longer feel comfortable with him around our children.

He is a loving and loyal companion toward his person, but is territorial and protective. Especially with his food, toys and person.

Needs a family with no other pets or small children, and would be best somewhere with a large yard or someone who can take him on regular runs.

My phone number is 541-270-6226 and email address listed (b.kell95@gmail.com) are the best ways to reach me.

Ruby

Ruby is probably 1-½ years old, spayed and has had all of her vaccinations. She's a White Shepard mix. House trained, kennel trained, and no health concerns. Does well with strangers, other dogs, kids. Knows basic commands. Very playful and energetic. She loves to swim and loves to be outside! Will chew things up if left unattended and out of a kennel for too long because she gets bored; doesn’t chew things up in the kennel.

For more info on Ruby please email merrill@creativemetalworksllc.com

Rio

He’s about 4 years old, he's a red dog mutt.  He is neutered and has had all of his vaccinations. House trained, kennel trained, and no health concerns. Does well with strangers, other dogs, kids. Knows basic commands. He is smart, strong, protective, loyal, and loves anything outdoors. The occasional prey drive, the occasional stubbornness and the potential for separation anxiety are the 3 biggest things to be aware of, but all are quite manageable.

He is a good boy with a huge heart.

For more info on Rio please email <merrill@creativemetalworksllc.com

CHARLIE

Looking to rehome my dog Charlie. He will be 6 years old next month, but still acts like a puppy. He is a border collie/ Australian Sheppard/ shitzu mix. He is up to date on vaccines. He needs a home with a back yard to run and play fetch in. Please contact me via text or call at 541-650-5000. BAILEY

I am currently looking for a temporary foster (6months) for Bailey. Things are rough right now and it’s a hard decision but necessary to keep us both happy and healthy. I will give you full details about our situation if you are interested in fostering. Info about her below. If you have additional questions about her behavior, health, or needs email me at chrissyrem@gmail.com. Thank you.

About Bailey: •4 years old(on oct.1st) •85 lbs(slightly overweight, ideally she should be around 75lbs) •Lab mix (I have dna test results pinned) •Up to date on shots, on simparica and interceptor + for flea and tick control and heart worms •fully house trained •Good with other dogs(selective). Dogs larger than her tend to scare her. •lived with an older cat for the first 3 yrs of her life but will need more training to not chase or become overstimulated in their presence •loves her people, is very loving and friendly and enjoys making new human friends. •fearful of objects like carts, wagons, tents • her reactions towards children is varied. She is fine with my 7 year old niece. It took a lot of training to let her into her circle. Small kids scare her. She will usually bark at running children. •she is a fierce resource guarder around other dogs, but not with humans. •reactive towards loud/unusual noises, she will run away so keeping her leashed or in a fully fenced, secured yard is very important. •has lived in an apartment her whole life but would greatly benefit from a house with a fenced yard. •has severe separation anxiety. She currently spends no time alone. Will do best with someone who works from home, has a partner/roommate/family and alternate schedules, or can provide some sort of care when needed. •I have tried daycare for her, she is overwhelmed by the presence of large packs of dogs. Groups of 3 or less are more her vibe. •she takes trazodone and clomicalm to manage her anxiety •does best with positive reinforcement training. We have tried an e-collar in the past and she had a very negative reaction to it.

Scooby

Scooby is extremely friendly with people and all other dogs at the dog park but it seems like he has some resource guarding specifically with my dog at home.   He’s fully house trained and knows common commands (unless he’s super excited)  2 years old, neutered, updated on vaccines. He’s about 40 pounds boarder collie, German shepherd, terrier mix.  I rehomed him a few months ago and it isn't working out so would love to find him a new home.

Cruz

Cruz Rehoming Post

Meet Cruz! He’s a playful, energetic, 1 ½ year old teen Pitty Mix. He loves to play with his toys or chill

out in his bed or crate. Approximately 60lbs, neutered.

We adopted Cruz mid-March from Multnomah County Animal Services. He was in Foster Care at the

time (due to his exuberant tail) and he seemed to get along with our 3 year old Bosten Terrier, Riker,

on first meeting. Soon the two began playing hard and often snuggling in one of their dog beds when

tired.

…….

As time has passed, Riker has become less tolerant of Cruz, and often snaps at him, leading to us

having to separate the two.

As a puppy, Cruz was very neglected. We learned that he had been raised on an apartment balcony

with feces and debris. When his person was evicted, Cruz was left behind on the balcony to fend. He

was eventually surrendered to the Multnomah County Animal Services, very underweight and with

little to none in terms of socialization and training.

Cruz is a quick learner and has (along with us) been doing training at Urban Pawsiblilties since we

adopted him. He is house trained, crate trained and loves to play fetch. We are working on lose leash

training and muzzle training.

Cruz is stranger reactive and has become more protective of us and our home. Unfortunately, this has

led to him biting two friends. He does well with new people when he is at his training lessons.

With Rikers growing poor disposition around Cruz, along with our rigorous work schedule, we believe

Cruz would thrive better in a different household.

He has lots of energy! It would be ideal for a new owner with lots of patience and time to dedicate to

socialization, training and exercise. It would also be ideal for someone who has a lot of fenced space

and has an active lifestyle. We hate to make this move but, Cruz is a sweet big boy that needs the

right home that could provide what he needs to mature progressively.

If you’d like to meet Cruz, please contact Andrew and Susan Brown at ab66fly@gmail.com.
